On Saturday 5th September, one of our students, who also attends 631 Aviation Ground School at RAF Woodvale, successfully completed their Bronze Wings instructor and assessor training.
The course marked the culmination of their training and involved delivering the required briefs and demonstrations before instructing and assessing a cadet using the flight simulator. Having successfully completed each element, they were formally signed off to deliver and assess the Bronze Wings course at the Aviation Ground School.
They were also approved to deliver the Blue Aviation Training Package syllabus at their unit, allowing them to use their knowledge and experience to support cadets at an earlier stage of their aviation training.
This is a significant personal achievement and an important step in their development as an instructor and assessor. The qualification will enable them to play an active role in developing other young people, sharing their aviation knowledge and helping cadets from across the region work towards their own qualifications.
Reflecting on the achievement, they said:
