We are thrilled to announce that our contingent achieved outstanding recognition at this year’s Lord-Lieutenant’s Awards, held in the majestic surroundings of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.
The prestigious annual ceremony highlights exceptional service, leadership, and commitment across the region, with a total of 35 individual awards and 3 team awards presented. We extend our sincere gratitude to His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside, Mr. Peter Oliver, for bestowing these honours upon our members and for his continued support of the cadet movement across the county.

Contingent Representation
With four of our cadet recipients having recently set off to begin their university journeys, the unit was proudly represented at the Cathedral by cadet awardee Warrant Officer J Payne, alongside Lieutenant E Peak, Sergeant Major M McGinn, and Colour Sergeant G Moffitt. They were warmly joined and supported on the night by Deputy Headteacher Mr. Adamson and Major J. McGinn.
Wishing Our Cadets Every Success

- To the Royal Navy: A huge congratulations to Warrant Officer J Payne, who will be officially joining the Royal Navy this November. We wish him the absolute best of luck as he begins his naval career—we know he will excel and make us all immensely proud.
- To University: We wish Under Officer A Owen, RSM E Park, Flight Sergeant J Farrell, and Chief Petty Officer E Harland the best of luck with their degree studies and future career paths.
The character, resilience, and leadership skills developed during their time in the unit will serve all of our cadets well in their future endeavors. They leave us as motivated, capable young adults and remain a source of immense pride for our entire community.
Gratitude to Our Instructors & Reservists
Achievements of this calibre reflect the dedicated leadership within our unit. Our instructors consistently go above and beyond to guide, mentor, and motivate our cadets to reach their full potential.
We extend a special note of appreciation to two of our adult awardees who serve not only as cadet volunteers, but also as active Armed Forces reservists. Selflessly giving up their personal time to serve both our cadets and the nation, their dedication is an inspiration to us all.
