Over the weekend of 28th February – 2nd March 2025, more than 40 Year 9 cadets attended their first training camp at Fox Barracks. The camp focused on weapon training, a key requirement for cadets to participate in future camps and progress in marksmanship.
Throughout the weekend, cadets learned how to handle and fire their weapons safely under expert supervision. The training provided a foundation for developing their shooting skills and improving their accuracy.
Beyond the training, the camp was an opportunity for cadets to experience time away from home, bond with their peers, and work together in a disciplined environment. Every cadet successfully passed their test, gaining essential skills that will support their future development in the cadet programme.
The weekend was a significant milestone for these young cadets, marking the start of their progression in the force.
