Cadets from our RAF Section recently attended the Bronze Aviation Training Package with No. 631 Volunteer Gliding Squadron, taking another exciting step forward in their aviation training.
The Bronze Aviation Training Package is designed to build upon cadets’ existing knowledge and give them valuable practical experience in the air. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, the cadets were able to develop their understanding of how an aircraft operates while putting their classroom-based learning into practice.
Throughout the course, they were required to demonstrate a range of important flying skills, including general aircraft handling, climbing, descending and maintaining effective control. They also developed their understanding of general airmanship, including situational awareness, communication, safety procedures and the importance of remaining focused throughout every stage of a flight.
The training provided the cadets with a fantastic opportunity to experience flying first-hand, build their confidence and gain a greater appreciation of the knowledge and discipline required within aviation. Each cadet approached the challenge with enthusiasm, maturity and determination, listening carefully to their instructors and making the most of every opportunity available.
We are delighted to announce that all the cadets successfully completed the required training and were awarded their Bronze Wings. This is a significant achievement within the RAF Air Cadets’ aviation training programme and reflects the hard work and commitment shown by everyone involved.
Congratulations to all our successful cadets. They represented Calday’s RAF Section with pride and should be extremely proud of their achievement. We hope this experience will inspire them to continue progressing through their aviation training and pursue further flying opportunities in the future.
