Congratulations to our 14 Army and RAF cadets who took part in today’s Regional First Aid Competition. From stepping into the role of casualties with realistic wounds applied, to competing under pressure as part of the teams, every cadet showed outstanding skill, commitment, and teamwork.

We had three teams enter this year, and they did us extremely proud. The competition was split into four categories: ACF, CCF, Young Adults, and RAF. With 5 teams in the CCF category and 2 in the RAF category, our cadets rose to the challenge — securing Gold in the CCF competition and Gold in the RAF competition. These outstanding results now see us heading to the National Finals!

Reflecting on the day, the Contingent Commander Wing Commander Bosworth said:
“I am incredibly proud of all 14 cadets who represented our Contingent at the Regional First Aid Competition. From those who took on the role of casualties to the teams who competed, every single cadet demonstrated resilience, professionalism, and a real commitment to learning a vital life skill.

To not only enter three teams but to walk away with two gold medals — in both the CCF and RAF categories — is an exceptional achievement. It reflects the hard work these cadets have put into their training, their ability to work under pressure, and the confidence they have gained through their time in the cadet movement.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our CFAVs, who give up countless hours to prepare, train, and support our cadets. I am truly grateful for their efforts.

We now look forward with great excitement to the National Finals, where I know our cadets will once again do us proud and showcase the very best of what our Contingent can achieve.”
