Seventy-eight enthusiastic new recruits from the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) participated in a thrilling Adventure Training Day, designed to develop essential skills for their journey in the CCF. The day featured a range of challenging activities, including air rifle shooting, archery, the Dismounted Close Combat Trainer (DCCT), and abseiling. Each exercise allowed cadets to hone focus, precision, and teamwork in a hands-on setting.
Cadets embraced the opportunity to acquire new skills, with air rifle and archery sessions enhancing their marksmanship and concentration, while DCCT training provided tactical experience in a controlled virtual environment. The abseiling activity encouraged courage and trust as cadets navigated their descent from heights.
The event was made possible by the dedication of CCF staff, who offered invaluable guidance and support throughout the day. These new skills will serve cadets well in their ongoing CCF journey, helping build confidence and camaraderie.
